house of rubber
At House of Rubber—a multidisciplinary Amsterdam-based studio founded by Marlou Breuls—I contributed to concept-driven collections situated between the worlds of fashion, sculpture and interior design. Embracing the studio’s playful optimism and intuitive approach, I was involved in hands-on material experimentation with silicone, ceramics, textiles and plastics to create tactile, otherworldly outcomes.
I supported the development of furniture and sculptural interior pieces using techniques like tufting, designed all-over prints (AOPs) for textile applications, and translated artistic concepts into wearable forms including jewelry and early-stage shoe designs. Collaborating with creatives across disciplines, I helped prototype pieces that are now featured in-store and in editorial settings.
House of Rubber values material exploration, craftsmanship and creative fun over formality—producing everything from ballgown rugs and ceramic dressoirs to rubbery jewelry and latex bodysuits. My work contributed to this universe where functionality meets fantasy and rules are made to be bent, broken or joyfully ignored.
