MONGA
This project began with the fusion of two unexpected objects: an ice scraper and a sneaker. From this collision, a speculative collection emerged—blurring the lines between jewellery, footwear and accessories.
Made from repurposed safety vests and other upcycled materials, each piece explores how function can be reinterpreted through form. Using the approach of “making is thinking,” the process was hands-on and experimental—letting materials guide the outcome rather than working toward a fixed design.
The collection questions where the boundary lies in what we consider wearable. By combining objects from different worlds, it opens up new possibilities for how accessories can be used, perceived and understood. The result is a series of hybrid pieces that sit somewhere between utility and expression.
